I have previously reviewed Valentia’s True Glow Eye Cream and Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask (found here), so I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to try the brand’s Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum!
Valentia Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum is infused with a blend of botanicals, essential oils, and vitamins to help support reoxygenation and circulation. The formula is purported to renew tone and texture, moisturize, minimize fine lines, increase elasticity, and brighten the skin (Valentia, 2015).
Key ingredients in Valentia Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum are wakame bioferment (seaweed) to increase oxygen and detoxify; gotu kola helps lessen the appearance of hyperpigmentation and acne scarring; lactic acid increases cell turnover; licorice helps minimize hyperpigmentation; and argan oil reduces water loss and protects the skin’s elasticity (Valentia, 2015).
I was happy to discover that Valentia Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum contains one of my favorite skin care ingredients, lactic acid. Lactic acid, the same thing that gives us muscle soreness after exercise, is an alphahydroxy acid. It exfoliates the skin and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. It also acts as a humectant to slow moisture loss (Cosmetics Info, 2016).
Like the other Valentia products I have tried, the Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum comes in sleek white packaging with black and metallic gold accents. The product is housed in a dark pump bottle, which is not only convenient and sanitary, but protects the serum from degradation due to light and air exposure.
You can pump out a lot or a little, depending on how much you press down. I love the way this serum smells- it has a very fresh, natural, citrus scent, most likely from the citrus aurantium, or orange hydrosol. The scent is very light, though, and it doesn’t linger, so unless you’re super-sensitive, it shouldn’t be a problem. The serum spreads easily, and absorbs quickly. In the summer, this will be moisturizing enough for my combination skin that I probably won’t even need a separate moisturizer!
Overall, the Valentia Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum is pretty awesome. The only negative would be all the botanicals- some people are sensitive to them, as with any natural skin care products. But, those same botanicals are full of great antioxidants and nutrients. And at just $35 for an awesome product filled with such great ingredients, what’s not to love?

Does the lactic acid burn?
Hi Monika! I have hypersensitive skin, and I had no burning at all. Lactic acid is pretty gentle, but if you’re concerned, do a little test patch first 🙂
