Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush

I purchased the Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring brush on a whim. I had always used my hands or a sponge to apply my foundation. The only previous experience I had with a brush was when a cosmetic counter salesperson used a flat brush to “paint” foundation on me. That was a horrific nightmare, so I never wanted a brush anywhere near my foundation.

When I was purchasing Urban Decay’s Naked Skin foundation, Missy at Sephora asked if used a brush. When I said I didn’t, she told me about the Optical Blurring brush. As I saw that it was not a flat brush, and she demonstrated the airbrush-like effect, I was sold. I have not looked back since. (Well, until the NARS foundation came out that applies best with hands…)

Animal lovers take note- the brush is also vegan, and contains synthetic brush hairs. This is a must for applying anything wet, as natural fibers will absorb too much and can degrade easily.

Yes, there are other, higher quality foundation brushes out there. I have several, but I have grown attached to this brush, and the shape, and use it whenever I use a foundation other than NARS.

The Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush retails for $26.00.
