Well, we’re almost to November already! I can’t believe how FAST this year has gone.
Someone asked me the other day what some of my favorite products are, and there have been SO many that I really liked this year. So, I decided to try to get in a few favorites posts for the things I’m asked about most commonly.
Since the weather has gotten cooler and drier and more people are using facial oils, I’ll start with those. I’ve tried more facial oils than I can possibly count, and there are SO many great ones out there- so if your fave isn’t on here, it’s not because it’s not great- these are just the ones that seem to work well for me.
I’ll start with my absolute fave- so far, because we still have two months left of the year, right…? Lol! (The others are listed in no particular order.)
Elemis Superfood Facial Oil
This is my Numero Uno facial oil, and it works no matter when I use it, day or night. I have oily/combo skin; and it’s the ONLY one I’ve found, EVER, that I can wear during the day under makeup. It’s actually a blend of many different oils, so it contains a lot more nutrients than single oils. Combined with the fact that it actually absorbs into my skin, and it’s the clear overall winner. Plus, it smells absolutely divine! (You can read my full review here.)

Nayelle Glow Age-Defying Facial Oil
This is another blend of skin-loving oils, so the skin gets more nutrients. It’s the most innovative because it not only has a retinoid, but it also contains a 100% natural sugar-based product that makes it THICK, so thick that it kind of “stands up,” but is easy to spread at the same time, so it makes for a luxurious experience. This oil makes my skin incredibly soft, but with my skin type, I can only use it at night. The quality ingredients and unique formula easily propelled this into my top five. (Read full review here.)
Nayelle probiotic skincare. Dermatologist approved. Suitable for all skin types.
Amaki Jasmine & Rose Nourishing Oil
I was absolutely floored when I saw how beautiful this artisan oil was- it has rosebuds in it! It’s pretty in pictures, but when it arrived and I saw it in person, it was even more so! It’s a bit too heavy for me to use regularly on my oily/combo skin as it absorbs, just not completely. But it’s great when my face is a bit drier- the first time I tried it I was going through a drier, irritated phase, and it soaked right in. I often use it on my hair and body, though, with fantastic results. Plus, you get a 4 oz. bottle for just $25! (Read our review here.)
Tatcha Gold Camellia Beauty Oil
This oil contains actual gold flakes- yes flakes of GOLD. So, obviously it’s the most lux! I tried this back when it first came out, and it was one of the first that I really liked because it would actually absorb into my skin. I do have to wait a bit, but it does sink in, although it does still leave a bit on the surface of my face so I can’t wear it under makeup. If I’m not wearing makeup, I can easily wear it during the day. I also like that it comes in a travel size so you can try it without breaking the bank. (See our full review here.)

DERMA E Radiant Glow Face Oil by SunKissAlba
As much as I want to, I absolutely cannot wear this on my face during the day. Even with the drier weather, I’ve found that it just kind of sits on top of my skin. If I apply it at night, though, and blot my skin with a tissue before bed, I wake up with super-soft, glowing skin. I’ve been using it on my shoulders, neck, and chest, though, and love, love, love it! I’ve also put it in my hair and it looks really awesome. The reasonable price makes it even more enticing! P.S. I listed DERMA E last so I could give it a special mention- DERMA E, Whole Foods, and SunKissAlba have partnered up to do a box of Alba’s fave products at Whole Foods, and the proceeds go to Special Olympics. This gorgeous oil (full size!) was included in the September box, so make sure to click here and show DERMA E some love!
