Facial mists are one of my absolute favorite products at the moment. It’s easy to deliver hydration and other nourishing ingredients to your skin, set your makeup, cool off, etc. When I started using tretinoin and getting other irritating treatments, I discovered how great these products are.
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist contains squalane, red algae, and the company’s exclusive HADASEI-3 complex. The liquid is not clear, it’s kind of milky, because it contains humectants and moisturizers. Also, it does not contain a large amount of fragrance or alcohol, as these ingredients can be drying.
The first thing I noticed, aside from the milky color, is how fine the mist is. It feels so silky when spraying because of the mist being so fine. This also differed from other favorite mist (Omorovicza’s Queen of Hungary Mist) in that it leaves a slight moisturizing residue. The residue has the tiniest bit of stickiness, but it’s not unpleasant. Don’t let it scare you away from trying this, it does not last- it actually sinks into your skin. I like this effect, especially right after a chemical peel, microneedle treatment, or other irritating procedure, because I feel like it’s protecting and soothing my skin.
This stuff has a very, very slight green tea fragrance, but it dissipates quickly. I don’t think it’s bothersome, unless you are VERY sensitive. Tip- put it in the refrigerator, it’s great for sunburn or just a quick pick-me-up!
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist retails for $48.00 for 1.35 oz.
