Yay!!! I finally got my first Play! box of my very own! I must say, out of all the beauty subscriptions I have, Sephora has the best packaging. My awesomely fabulous, super-duper friend, Amanda, had been sending me photos of her box for the past 2 months (I deleted the email…oops!). Although she got great shots of the box and packaging, it’s one of those things that you appreciate more when it’s actually in your hands and you’re opening it. (Dear Ipsy, I love you very much, but please take note of this! 🙂 )
November’s Play! box included:
Bite Beauty High Pigment Lip Pencil in Rhubarb– I am absolutely in LOVE with Bite Beauty products, they use ingredients that are so natural that their lipsticks are actually edible! And their pencils don’t dry my lips out the way many others do.
Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in Dolly– Fabulous plumping lip gloss with a cream finish; you can’t go wrong with these- they are great on their own, or layered over your lipstick.
Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Hydrating Primer– Prior to trying Radical Skincare’s Radical Perfection Fluid, this was my favorite hydrating primer. It doesn’t clog pores, and doesn’t feel heavy. If you’ve never tried it, you will probably really like it!
Josie Maran Argan Oil– This is a staple, almost everyone I know uses this. It’s great for both your skin AND hair. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out!
Sephora Collection 12-HR Contour Eye Pencil in My Boyfriend’s Jeans– This shade is fabulous; although the Sephora eye pencils don’t wear very well on my eyelids, I love using this shade on my lower water line!
Stella McCartney Eau de Parfum sample vial– Sephora describes this as both soft and edgy, and I tend to agree. It smells like rose, with a twist, so it’s definitely not “your grandma’s rose” scent.
As a VIB Rouge Beauty Insider, and having renewed my Rouge status within the first months of the year, every year, I already have all of the items in this box, right down to the same exact shade of Buxom gloss. I’m pretty sure every one of these items has been a TOA (gift with purchase) or 100-point Beauty Insider reward at some point- because I’ve never paid money for any of them.
Nevertheless, this box did NOT disappoint! Every single item included is a winner, especially if you haven’t tried these products before. Another thing I like about the Play! box is that with the fragrance sample, there are really six items instead of five. It really irritates me when subscription boxes include a fragrance sample- that’s kind of an insult since they are SO easy to obtain for free. I hope Sephora continues to include six items if one is to be a fragrance.
Once again, well done, Sephora. Or, should I say, well “played?” 😉

I’m scared to order this because the stuff looks really good but I’m afraid that since its so good they will end up changing it!
I LOVE your name!!! Lol! The good thing about this is that you can cancel your subscription any time, so there’s really no risk!
