I have a confession- I’m obsessed with hair removal. I have thick coarse hair, and that goes for legs, too. It also grows very quickly, so I have to shave EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. or I get really itchy. Uggghhh… it sucks!
So, I’ve tried depilatory creams, waxing, electrolysis, you name it. Depilatories just made the whole house stink and burned my skin, but never actually removed the hair. Waxing never actually removes the hair, either, and it’s a huge pain to have to let the hair get long enough to do it. Electrolysis was effective, but I only got one small area done because it made my skin “bubble up,” and it scarred like crazy.
I’d been considering IPL or laser hair removal for quite some time; then I got the chance to try out the sensiLight Mini by Sensica. Oh, yes! Count me IN!!! Could this be exactly what I need to deal with the ridiculous, stubborn hair?
The sensiLIght Mini by Sensica is a revolutionary professional-grade, non-invasive hair removal device that has been designed for home use. This means you don’t have to worry about paying a professional or trying to make time to schedule appointments.
One of the things I like about the sensiLight Mini is that it uses FDA-cleared Reactive Pulsed Light (RPL) technology. This is similar to the IPL technology used by professionals, but it can “recognize” if the conditions aren’t right for treatment, and it reacts by not working. This is perfect for me, considering I have medium-toned skin and tattoos. With the RPL, I don’t have to worry about my skin getting burned or the light not doing its job.
The sensiLight Mini is very versatile. Not only can it be used on your legs and arms, but you can use it on bikini line, underarms, back, and facial hair, too. Yes, even men can use it! The only disadvantage is that it won’t work on blond hair or very dark skin. It also takes 8-12 treatments, depending on hair color and skin type, to fully remove the hair. As only actively growing hair can be destroyed, and hair grows in three stages, multiple treatments are required to target them all. This is why it’s so handy to be able to do this at home, rather than go back and forth to so many appointments.
Now that you have an overview of this amazing product, I’ll be testing the sensiLight Mini over the next few months. I’ll update and post a review after I’ve done a few treatments, and tell you about my results. I’ve already done one treatment with success, so I’m very confident that I’ll have fantastic results with the sensiLight Mini by Sensica. So, be sure keep checking back!
