It really irritates me when skincare companies try to “pull one over” on consumers and push products that don’t work. This is why I was really excited to get a package from Radical Skincare. The company was founded by two sisters, whose father was a renowned doctor and pioneer in the anti-aging field. Liz and Rachel Edlich, along with a team of chemists, formulated the products for their own personal use.
Relatively speaking, there are only a handful of ingredients that are proven to be effective in anti-aging skincare products. Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads are the real deal. Right away, I noticed glycolic acid was the third ingredient. Glycolic acid, derived from sugarcane and sugary fruits, is a powerful ingredient that can help reduce the signs of aging, such as hyperpigmentation and even mild wrinkling, through exfoliating cells on the surface.
Another ingredient in the Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads is salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid. This helps with acne, clogged pores, etc. Not only is salicylic acid a great ingredient on its own, but it’s also oil-soluble, so it can penetrate into the pores. Therefore, it also acts to help other ingredients penetrate better.
But, the scientists at Radical Skincare did not stop at just these two ingredients. Products from the brand utilize Trylacel Technology, which encompasses antioxidants, repair actives, and skin calming ingredients. Malus Domestica helps protect the longevity of skin cells; and Osilift tones the skin (Radical Beauty, 2015). Furthermore, ingredients such as vitis vinifera along with other fruit and botanical extracts are full of antioxidants.
Although these pads contain physician-strength ingredients, they are quite gentle. Several months ago, I would not have experienced any sensitivity whatsoever from using them. Now, after using Retin-A, my skin is very sensitive. Even so, I only experienced a very mild tingling sensation and a temporary, very slight redness in some areas right after using at night. My skin was SO smooth, and I woke up with a healthy glow.
Overall, this is a very effective product, and I highly recommend the Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads. Although I use tretinoin and get regular glycolic peels, these pads will still have their place, between treatments, in my routine.
Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads retail for $75.00 for 60 pads, or $20.00 for 15 pads.

After breaking out really bad from using a drugstore scrub with those grains in it, I ordered these pads from Sephora. I just got them in last week, and my skin already looks ALOT better.
Hi JoJo! I’m glad they’re working for you! My skin doesn’t do well with harsh exfoliants, either. I only use them when my skin gets really dry and flaky- but when I started using the Radical pads, that didn’t happen as much 🙂
I never have tried any Radical items but got curious after I read your review. They seem kind of expensive but I might get the small pack to see if I like them.
Hi Stephanie! I agree, the Radical products are a bit more pricy than what you will find in the drugstore. That being said, I don’t mind paying more for quality ingredients- and the Radical products are very high quality. If you look at the ingredient list, the active ingredients are some of the first ones listed, which means there is a higher concentration of the “good stuff” than there is in the lower priced brands. Also, this is a physician-strength product, yet it’s much less costly than going to a physician for a glycolic peel. I’m glad you’re going to give them a try- I think you will really like them!
