Well, after trying other fantastic lip products from Pixi, you can imagine my expectations are quite high. The MatteLast Liquid Lip formula is purported to be extremely longwearing, yet comfortable as it’s infused with rosehip oil. While it quickly sets to a matte veil, it’s also supposed leave lips hydrated (Pixi-Sjovik, 2018).
The colors were created to be wearable and universally flattering, while going on smoothly and evenly in a single stroke, with a unique PixiPetal applicator that allows for precise and even application (Pixi-Sjovik, 2018).

The colors I received are Au Naturelle, Matte Beige, Pastel Petal, Really Rose, and Evening Rose, all of which look SO gorgeous- I immediately wanted to try on ALL of them. I almost didn’t take the time to get photos first…lol!
The lipstick is housed in a sleek, squared tube, and contains the PixiPetal applicator. The applicator is fab, there’s a little hole that holds enough lipstick so you don’t have to double or triple dip. It’s also angled with a slightly pointed tip that allows for precise application.

Pixi recommends that you exfoliate your lips first, then apply. It went on like a dream, very smooth, no dragging or pulling. It was very light, like I wasn’t wearing anything at all. The formula lasted about four hours, but would have lasted longer if Jerry hadn’t made us a steak dinner…lol. Surprisingly, my lips weren’t as dried out as they normally are with matte or long lasting formulas, so that was a hugely welcome change!
