Hope you’ve all had a fantastical Saturday!
I’ve been testing out some great stuff so far this summer, and I got another lovely package in the mail from Pixi Beauty! Yet again, they did not disappoint!
This box had three of the brand’s Sheer Cheek Gels and three GelTint & SilkGloss duos. I’ve tried Sephora’s cheek gels, and wasn’t really impressed, but I loved the concept, so I was glad to get these. And as much as I adore the look of matte lip colors, they wreak havoc on my lips, so the lip duos were a very welcome treat!

I’ll start with the Sheer Cheek Gels– I’m really, really happy with these! I’ve often felt that I can get a more natural look with cream blushes as opposed to powders. The problem is that I have oily/combo skin, and the creams don’t always work out for me.
The Pixi Sheer Cheek Gels are such a joy to use! They’re super easy to apply, and they set quickly, but not so quickly that I don’t have time to blend. I just use my fingers, and find that I can get a very natural look. The color is buildable, so you can have a more natural or bold look, whatever your preference is at any time. The gel is perfect, it’s light, and doesn’t make my skin feel “suffocated.” They’re also long-lasting for a gel- I got over seven hours of wear before the color started to fade a bit.

The GelTint & SilkGloss duos are also really neat! There’s a long-lasting tint that gives a stained effect on one end, and a silky lip gloss on the other. They can be worn separately or together, so you can get three looks and finishes with each one.

I absolutely adore these, they’re fresh and kind of minty, and go on very smoothly. I noticed that even without the gloss, the tint was not drying at all when worn alone. With the gloss, my lips ended up even softer after wearing, and I didn’t notice much stickiness.

I was surprised at how pigmented the tint is- I didn’t expect such color- much better than many of the others I’ve tried! I will warn you, though- when Pixi refers to a “stained effect,” they mean it! (See the photo.) This is a wonderful thing in regards to wear, but not so much if you make a mistake when applying…lol!
No worries, though, if you mess up, just make sure to wipe it off immediately before it has a chance to “set.” As for wear, the stained effect of the tint wears evenly, it doesn’t get patchy, so my lips had color all day long, even through multiple meals and drinks.

Overall, I’m loving the Pixi Sheer Cheek Gels and GelTint & SilkGloss duos- these are definitely things I’ll keep using on a regular basis, especially throughout the summer. Plus, you can’t beat the prices- the cheek colors retail for just $14 each, and the lip duos are only $12 each. Check ‘em out at PixiBeauty.com!
