I got a lovely surprise in the mail from Bobbi Brown, with some items from the new Peace, Love and Beach summer collection- and I seriously want to put this stuff all over…lol! Be sure to check out our video at the bottom for more info and swatches- pics don’t do them justice!
Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powders in Sunkissed Glow, Sunrise Glow, and Tawny Glow
The Peace, Love & Beach collection includes new eyeshadow trios, nail colors, and Highlighting Powder. I received three highlighting powders, in Tawny Glow, Sunkissed Glow, and Sunrise Glow. I also got three Glow Sticks in Bikini, Island, and Desert Sun; as well as Eye Gloss in Beach Nude and Island Pink.

I was really curious about the highlighting powders, as I compare everything to Becca’s, and I was not disappointed. The Bobbi Brown highlighters are just SO beautiful, the shades are stunning. The pigmentation is a bit less “in your face,” but very buildable so you can get a little or a lot of highlight, whichever you choose. The texture isn’t “creamy” like Becca, but instead, it’s very silky, and goes on so smoothly.

The Glow Sticks are something I never want to be without! I’ve found the Juice Beauty Flash Luminizers to be so handy and easy to use, so I was super excited about these as well. The Bobbi Brown Glow Sticks are a bit more pigmented and have more shimmer than the Juice Beauty ones. Basically, they’re more of a highlighter while the Juice ones are more subtle.

As for the Eye Gloss– these are new to me. I’ve seen eye glosses in stores and online, but have never really been interested in them. I kept imagining putting petroleum jelly, lip gloss, or some other type of sticky substance on my eyelids, and I didn’t think it would end well. I seriously thought I’d end up with dust, dirt, and all manner of stuff stuck there…lol! They’re available now at Bloomingdale’s.

As it turns out, my fears were unfounded, and I completely regret not ever giving eye glosses a shot until now. I’m now a believer, and it’s easy to see why they’re so popular. I’m SO in love with these! They’re so easy to use, and give a nice, relaxed summer look that’s natural and polished without looking overdone. Oh yeah, and nothing got stuck to my eyelids, either!
