Ole Henriksen Truth Serum is not a new release product, but I’m going to post about it anyway because it’s THAT awesome. Even my other half uses it on a regular basis. This is one of those products that beauty editors and gurus purchase over and over again.  I was on at least my third or fourth bottle of this wonder liquid, and had just about run out, with maybe a couple days left. Then, I opened up a package from Ole Henriksen, and inside was the new Empower line, and… a brand new bottle of Truth Serum!!!

I was so sad to be nearly out of this, but SO happy to get another bottle!!!!

Vitamin C plays an important role in collagen production, and its antioxidant properties make it vital to the skins health (Michels, 2011). Ole Henriksen’s Truth Serum is made with a proprietary five-source Vitamin C complex, which supports natural collagen production, which in turn brightens the skin and helps minimize fine lines. What are the five sources, you ask?

Ole Henriksen

According to Ole Henriksen, orange extract helps support cell turnover and purify. Grapefruit extract brightens with aromatic and antiseptic qualities. Rose hip extract helps heal, soothe, and repair damage. Sodium ascorbyl phosphate is a key in collagen production. Finally, Vitamin C ester is a form of the vitamin that is found naturally in the body.

I have oily skin, and this serum is perfect. In the summer months, I don’t usually need a separate moisturizer. The serum goes on very smoothly, and absorbs readily. It has a light, fresh, natural citrus scent that dissipates very quickly. I also like the versatility- I just used this a couple days ago after a dermapen treatment on my neck- as it is able to penetrate deeper. Overall, this is a fabulous product that is suitable for almost any skin type. If you’re looking for a great serum, give this a shot!

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster retails for $48.00 for 1 oz., $72.00 for 1.7 oz., and $128.00 for 3.4 oz.
