Okay, I knew these new eyeliners were out, but to be honest, I wasn’t really that excited about them. If you’ve kept up with this blog, you know I’m not really a fan of pencil liners that have to be sharpened because, well, I’m lazy. Plus, I already have almost every color possible of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. So, no need for these new ones from Make Up For Ever, right…???

Wrong. I was dead wrong. When we went to the Sephora in Bossier City a couple days ago, Grace was really excited about these liners. She showed us her hand, and she’d had the swatches there ALL day, and they hadn’t budged. And OMG, the colors were so gorgeous!
Apparently, these liners are a collaboration between Make Up For Ever and some pop star named “Charli XCX.” I have never heard of this person, and I have no idea what he/she has to do with eyeliner, but there are 20 fabulous shades to choose from!
Since I’ve put myself on a budget, and I didn’t really need another eyeliner, I almost didn’t get one. But Jerry said I needed a few, so we compromised and I got one…lol. I chose M-92, a matte pastel purple, because it’s unlike any other shade I have, or have seen. Plus, it looked fabulous on Grace’s waterline!
The Make Up For Ever Aqua XL pencils are purported to be long-lasting, smudge-proof, crease-proof, and fade-proof, not coming off until you take them off. They’re also supposed to glide-on effortlessly without tugging or skipping. They weren’t lying!
After testing out a few of them, they are a very creamy formula, and they really do glide-on like butter. The thing I like so much about this shade of lavender is that it’s a great alternative to wearing white in the waterline, and it also seems to enhance my green eyes, without looking overly purple. The only problem now is that I have to admit Jerry was probably right, and I should have gotten more of these…lol!
