Well, I was going to post this Friday, but I didn’t have time. Right after my workout and shower, it was already time for tip-off in the ISU vs. Virginia game of the NCAA tournament. I don’t normally like sports, for example, I loathe football more than anything in the world. But, both Jerry and I LOVE basketball!
I had decided to do my makeup in the spirit of my alma mater, and use shades to pay homage to the cardinal and gold colors of Iowa State University. For my eyes, I blended Bondage and Sonic from Urban Decay’s Vice 3 palette into my creases and the outer corners; and Blitz from the Urban Decay Vice LTD palette on my lids. I finished with Doucce’s Ultra Precision Eyeliner (more info here) and Diorshow mascara. For my lips, I started with Milk Makeup Lip Color in O.G. Red (more info here), blotted, and then used Buxom’s Full-On Lip Polish in Starr to get a cardinal shade.
Sadly, despite my efforts to get into the Cyclone spirit, we lost to Virginia, who played very well. Despite the loss, the Cyclones are still winners in my book, and I’m very proud of them for even getting into the Sweet 16! Now that Kansas has just had a shocking (to us) loss to Villanova, we’ve still got a chance at a Big 12 win with OU- so we’re keeping our fingers crossed!
