I just LOVE having the appearance of a flawless complexion, don’t you? Although, I will admit, I never really felt like I looked that flawless until I started using my sonicBLEND from Michael Todd. If you saw our original post from when I first started using it (read it here), then you know just how awesome this nifty tool is!
The problem is that sometimes, products are merely gimmicks- they only seem like a good idea at first, but then they get tossed to the side, never to be used again. I know of a makeup-lover who got an actual airbrush system, used it once, then decided it was too messy to use again. Ugggh… all that wasted money!

Well, that’s NOT the case with the Michael Todd sonicBLEND makeup brush. I’ll admit, I was a tiny bit apprehensive at first, but it turns out there was nothing to worry about. I simply charge my brush every two to four weeks, depending on how often I use it. The rest of the time, I just keep it in my brush drawer, and whip that baby out whenever I do my makeup.
It’s so dang simple because it’s not any messier than a regular makeup brush. As a matter of fact, it’s probably even easier to take care of. The brush heads are already antibacterial, and since it’s sonic, the bristles are almost completely clean after each use- the high-speed movement ensures your foundation is “pushed” away from the brush and onto your skin. Also, it’s super easy to pop the brush head off and use a bit of brush cleaner.
My favorite foundations to use (right now…lol) with the Michael Todd sonicBLEND are the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup in #7, and more recently, Juice Beauty PHYTO-PIGMENTS Flawless Serum Foundation in Golden Tan. Both of these are very lightweight and buildable, so I get an airbrushed look without any cakey buildup.
