It’s Monday again!!! And it’s a bright, shiny new week!!! Woo hoo!
If you like Lancome’s Juicy Shakers, you’ll love their new Matte Shakers! Like the Juicy Shakers, these unique liquid lip colors come in cute cocktail shaker-inspired bottles.
The Matte Shakers are a water-in-oil emulsion that’s super-pigmented, but comfortable to wear. The formula is weightless and feels like a second skin, and contains Vitamin E to help prevent drying.
I received the shade “Pink Power,” which I did not love. If you’ve been keeping up with our site, you likely already know that I absolutely loathe pink. However, despite my disdain, I will admit the color was vibrant and absolutely beautiful. If you like pink, you’ll love this color.
The formula was a welcome change from all the overly-drying super matte formulas on the market. This was more of a satin-matte instead of the velvet or super-duper mattes. As advertised, it was much more comfortable to wear, and didn’t leave my lips nearly as parched as many of my other matte lip colors, and it lasted for several hours with no touch-ups. So, even though I don’t like pinks, I’m definitely up for trying a few of the other shades!
The only negative? There’s only seven shades available right now. Granted, they did a great job with the versatility of those shades, with neutrals and brights, but I’m hoping these will be popular enough that they’ll expand the choices.
