Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in “Requiem”

Okay, so yes, I’m addicted to Kat Von D lipsticks.  I don’t love the formula, but I DO love the colors, pigmentation, and long wear.  Since I love Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss lipstick in “Coven,”I had really been wanting to try the Jeffree Star liquid lipstick in “Blow Pony,” but it never seems to be in stock!  So, I got the Kat Von D in “Requiem,” a soft lilac, from Amanda at the Bossier City Sephora Inside JCP.  It’s a bit different from Blow Pony, which is more like “Coven” or the liquid “Ayesha,” so at least it gives me the chance to wear a different shade.

One of the reasons I chose this color is that although it’s different and a bit daring, it’s still at least a little bit muted.  I usually try to play up one feature, so as not to look overly “clownish.”  For example, if I do a smoky eye, I do a nude or natural lip.  If I wear bold lipstick, I will do a more natural looking eye.  With “Requiem,” I can have a fun and different lip color, but still play up my eyes if I want to.

The formula is quite drying, of course, like most matte formulas.  So, I used Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask prior to applying, and after removing.  Wear time was fantastic, this actually lasted through eating a steak and potato.  Now the only problem is that I want to wear this every day!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick retails for $20.00 for 0.22 oz.
