Good morning, everyone; it’s a bright, shiny new day!
You may or may not know that Juice Beauty has quickly become one of my fave brands of natural skincare and cosmetic products. The ingredients aren’t only natural, but they’re actually effective, and the products are well-formulated.
I’ve always had oily/combination skin, and I had horrific acne when I was a teen. When I started using tretinoin, the zits started clearing up, but my skin became more sensitive. Add to that the fact that I’m outdoors for extended periods of time every day, and it’s a recipe for irritated skin.

Thank goodness Juice Beauty makes a serum to deal with my issues! The brand’s Soothing Serum, designed for all skin types, especially sensitive, can help address the appearance of inflamed, red, or aggravated skin (Juice Beauty, 2017).
The serum is full of great ingredients- organic aloe and oat kernel extract help calm; organic botanicals along with flavonoids of linseed, primrose, and borage, help reduce the appearance of redness; organic cucumber, chamomile, bearberry, and calendula help soothe; vegetable glycerin and plant-derived hyaluronic acid replenish moisture; and finally, antioxidant-rich reserveratrol sourced from grapeseeds help fight free radicals (Juice Beauty, 2017).
Juice Beauty Soothing Serum is housed in a glass dropper bottle- I’d rather it be a pump bottle so as to avoid repeated exposure to air; but the dropper works just fine, and it looks cute sitting on my counter! The serum has a light, natural, barely discernible scent- it’s refreshing, but not overpowering. The formula is easy to spread and readily absorbed with no stickiness or greasy feeling.
The Soothing Serum has come in VERY handy during these hotter months, especially when I’ve been outside all day. Not only is my skin irritated from tretinoin, but also from the heat and sun (even though I use tons of sunscreen!). I keep the bottle in the fridge, and use it each night after I cleanse and tone, and it really is soothing. My skin feels calmed, and most of the redness goes away pretty quickly. I wake up the next morning with no redness, just glowing skin!
