Sun protection is one of the main keys in my anti-aging routine, so I was really excited to try this. According to Josie Maran, this is a non-greasy fast-absorbing moisturizer infused with argan oil. The company claims the antioxidant-rich formula enhances radiance while at the same time protecting the skin from environmental aggressors. Titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, and SunBoost ATB offer protection form harmful UV rays. Additionally, the formula purportedly has a luxurious texture that is so gentle that it will not irritate even the most sensitive skin.
The negative with this moisturizer is that it is difficult to spread. The thick texture is nice, but it does not rub in smoothly. Fortunately, that is really the only negative, and the positive aspects far outweigh it. Once I managed to get this spread on my face, and let it soak in, my skin was very soft. I know many people do not like scented skincare products, but there is a very light, fresh scent that I happen to really like. This formula also did a great job of keeping my skin hydrated without getting greasy.
One of my favorite new sunblocks is Tarteguard, but since it only has an SPF of 30, I use other sun protection products with it. However, it is easier to spread than this moisturizer. Although the Josie Maran has an SPF of 47, I sti ll used additional sunscreen. Therefore, I will keep using them both (along with the other sunscreens I have), and rotate depending on how much sun I will be getting.
