I’m so, so, so glad winter is over! Just because I’m an Eskimo doesn’t mean I like the cold…lol!

As we all know, the cold, dry weather can wreak havoc on our skin. Not only has winter come to an end (for now, anyway), but Jan Marini has a fabulous new skincare product, Hyla3D. What is this miraculous product, you ask?

Jan Marini Hyla3D 1

Jan Marini Hyla3D is the brand’s recently launched advanced hyaluronic acid anti-aging formula, and I’m so, so, so excited about it! Age and sun damage cause the body’s levels of hyaluronic acid to diminish, resulting in visible signs of aging, such as loss of volume. Hyla3D takes a three-dimensional approach to restoring the skin’s moisture, volume, and smoothness, as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines (Jan Marini, 2014).

While hyaluronic acid is a fantastic skincare ingredient, there are a couple things many people don’t realize. In general, the hyaluronic acid molecule is too large to penetrate the skin. Also, it’s a humectant, meaning it draws moisture to itself. If you’re in a dry environment, the ingredient will pull moisture from your skin, rather than the air!

Jan Marini recognizes the importance of great formulation with this star ingredient. Hyla3D contains multiple molecular weights and forms of hyaluronic acid, including cross-linked, which is like what they use when you get injections. Furthermore, advanced technologies enhance your skin’s own native hyaluronic acid, while peptides and antioxidants help boost collagen and elastin (Jan Marini, 2014).

As for the humectant properties of the hyaluronic acid, Jan Marini includes water, glycerin, and vitamins, among other ingredients, which ensure the moisture is drawn from the Hyla3D to your skin, instead of from your skin.

Jan Marini Hyla3D 3

Jan Marini Hyla3D is housed in a sleek pump bottle, so it’s very sanitary and easy to keep germ-free. It’s also safe from degradation from light and air, so the ingredients will remain effective (Kaur, Kapila & Agrawal, 2007). The bottle not only looks nice, but it’s really easy to use, and I can dispense the exact amount I need.

The only negative about the dispensation is that I have to pump several times to get a little bit of product out. This is normal for the first use, but it continues to act “finicky” even after nearly a week of use. After checking their website, I found that they have an excellent return policy, and they will also take care of any product failure issues. That being said, this is a minor issue that doesn’t affect product performance, so I can live with it. But, just know that they stand behind their products in the rare event you experience any issues.

Jan Marini Hyla3D 4

Hyla3D has a serum-like texture, and it’s easy to spread, and is readily absorbed. I didn’t notice any stickiness, and it didn’t ball up over or under any of my other skincare products. Despite having hypersensitive skin, I experienced no irritation.

While I don’t have any deep wrinkles yet, my skin feels more hydrated and has a dewier glow, and it seems a bit more “plump.” Overall, the Jan Marini Hyla3D is a fantastic anti-aging product. The only negative is that if you’re not accustomed to high-end skincare, it may seem a bit pricey. But, the formulation is stellar, and it’s concentrated enough that a tiny bit will go a long way, so this will last a LOOOOOOONG time, especially with the protective packaging.

If you want a great anti-aging product with proven ingredients, you really should check out Jan Marini Hyla3D!
