Ipsy Glam Bag: September 2015

I know many people “peek”  and find out what’s in their bag before they get it, but to me, that’s like jumping through hoops.  There are entirely too many steps one must go through to do that, and the one time I tried, it didn’t work.  I was so beyond frustrated- I determined that by the time I could get their process to work to “peek,” the bag would be in my mailbox!

Nevertheless, I was pretty excited when I opened this month’s Glam Bag.  It included:

Liptini Lipstick in Starlet Cocktail, a special limited edition shade, 0.09 oz. full size–  Although Liptini is a cult favorite, I have never tried any of their products.  With my love for lipstick, this was a winner, especially since they sent a full-size!

Temptu Champagne Shimmer Highlighter, 0.25 oz.- This reminds me a bit of Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector.  Although I have quite a few highlighters, I love them and can always use another one.  This will be great for my travel case.

Ipsy NYX 3 Color Eyeshadow Palette, 0.11 oz.–  I’m not very familiar with NYX, as I don’t purchase many drugstore products.  However, I have heard good things about the brand, and am looking forward to trying this out.

Pixi by Petra Mini Brow Trio in Shades of Brow, 0.06 oz.– I’ve only tried a few Pixi products, as the only place in my area that carries them is Target.  Unfortunately, they are always out of stock, and for some reason they don’t seem to feel the need to restock.  (Either that, or the products are just so awesome they get bought as soon as they are put out!) With brows being such a “thing” lately, this is great- thanks, Ipsy!

Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator Exfoliating Cleanser, 20 g.- This is the product I tried first.  Since I started using Retin-A, my skin is flaky in the morning, so exfoliants are a must.  Prior to tretinoin, I could rub coarse sandpaper all over my face with no problems.  However, my skin can no longer tolerate harsh products.  Unfortunately, this was just too harsh.  If your skin is not sensitive, though, this would be a great product and will leave your skin very smooth.

Overall, this month’s Glam Bag was a “win.”  Do you have an Ipsy Glam Bag subscription?  Were you happy with your items this month?  Scroll down to comment below!
