Hello, everyone, it’s a bright shiny new day! Well, actually, here it’s been a bit dreary, but I’ll pretend it’s bright and shiny. Especially since my job involves using and “playing” around with some great stuff.
And… today, it’s another product from one of my fave brands, Exuviance! If you’ve been keeping up with our blog, you likely know we are in absolute love with their scientifically-proven products. So, I was pretty hyped when I got the opportunity to try out the cult favorite Evening Restorative Complex.
First off, in case you’re new to our site, or if you haven’t heard of Exuviance, it was created by Drs. Van Scot and Yu. The doctors are widely respected and recognized as leaders in the world of cosmetic dermatology. Ever heard of glycolic peels, or the “lunchtime peel?” Well, these procedures, along with the ingredients, were founded by these doctors, who were the original patent holders. So, you can be assured that when you purchase an Exuviance product, you’re getting something that WORKS.
Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex is a night time treatment that renews, recharges, and transforms your skin. It hydrates and conditions with hyaluronic acid and emollients that help restore elasticity and youthful suppleness. Gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid, targets wrinkles and fine lines, improves texture, and evens skin tone. Lactobionic acid, a powerful antioxidant, helps plump and firm the skin while it prevents wrinkles (NeoStrata, 2016).
In addition to the great PHA and AHAs, Evening Restorative Complex also contains botanicals along with Vitamins A, C, and E. These ingredients deliver full-strength anti-aging benefits with no irritation or drying, not even on the most sensitive types of skin! The formula is so gentle that you can even use it following microdermabrasion and glycolic acid peels (NeoStrata, 2016).
Knowing Evening Restorative Complex is a cult favorite, I can’t believe I’ve never tried it before! I especially appreciate that it’s gentle enough to use on my hypersensitive skin. As polyhydroxy acids have a larger molecule size, they’re less irritating than AHAs, but have all the same benefits. I use tretinoin, and do the aforementioned microdermabrasion and glycolic peels, so this is a huge plus for me. I can use this cream in conjunction with other products and procedures, without having to worry about excessive irritation.
Exuviance products are packaged in sleek, easy to use packaging, and this is no exception. Evening Restorative Complex is housed in a sanitary, convenient pump. In addition to being sanitary and keeping away bacteria, it also keeps away light and air, which can lead to ingredient degradation. I also like that I didn’t wear myself out having to press the pump down over hundred times when I first used it, like I do with many other brands…lol!
Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex, like most other products from the brand, has a very light, natural scent. If you’re sensitive, no worries, it’s not heavy at all, and dissipates very quickly. The cream is thick but light, so it moisturizes well without feeling like it’s “suffocating” the skin. I have oily/combination skin, and while this is a bit too heavy for me during the day, I have zero problems with it at night, especially in the drier weather. It moisturizes without leaving my skin greasy, and it absorbs well.
Although I have to use most products for several weeks, or even months, before noticing a difference, it only took about a week for me with this stuff, no wonder it’s reached cult status! I haven’t seen any changes in fine lines or discolorations this soon, but I have noticed some other changes. My skin feels softer, and after I wash my face in the morning, it really does appear more radiant. I also had to do fewer extractions than I normally do, so that’s always a plus.
With the high quality ingredients, I know my results will only get better and better with time. If you need a proven, effective, night treatment, Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex should be at the top of your list! Check it out at Exuviance.com!
