Well, after having better luck than I anticipated yesterday on the whole cut crease eyeshadow look, I decided to try it again, but only a bit bolder. (I think I am going to keep attempting to do even bolder and more complicated versions.) All I can say is, if I can do this even though my eyes are shaped differently, then YOU can do it, too. And yes, I remembered to take photos during the process!
I primed with Urban Decay’s Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion, then used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Flipside (turquoise) to draw a line where I wanted the bottom of the crease color to be. My line looks a little sloppy because I tried to make it a bit wider so it would be easier to see in photos. But, this just shows that it does not have to be perfect!
All shadows I used are from the Urban Decay Vice LTD palette. I applied Last Sin all over my entire eye lid, from the lash line to the brow. (Yep, right on top of that line I just drew.) This is going to be my brow bone color, but since it’s so light, I applied it all over. Having this layer of shadow under the other colors will make the other colors apply more easily.
Next, I used a detailing brush to apply Goddess (dark turquoise shimmer). First, I traced the eyeliner I applied earlier, then built that up. I used a blending brush to smudge and blend the turquoise upward and out just a bit. Finally, I added Crystal (light blue shimmer) to my eyelids, and Roadstripe (white frost) to the inner corners.
I finished off the look with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper on my top lash line, Urban Decay Flipside on the lower water line (same color I drew my original line with), and a coat of Diorshow mascara.
