My awesome friend, Firshelia, works for Estee Lauder, and I was given a sample of this when I preordered another item. The last mascara I had from the brand was the Turbolash mascara, which had a vibrating wand. All the pros say to wiggle the wand when applying, but I have always been far too uncoordinated to do that. While I don’t remember much about the formula, it was fun to use, and it must have worked well because I used it until it was gone!
This formula promises weightless volume and lift through the use of lash-thickening fibers. Fiber mascaras always tend to make me nervous, because many of them look clumpy, spidery, and garish. Not so with this one- there was no clumping at all! It didn’t curl as well Benefit’s Roller Lash, but it did lift my lashes as promised.
As for now, I have several go-to mascaras, and my choice always depends on the look I am going for. This was a very nice formula, it wasn’t as volumizing as Too Faced’s Better Than Sex, but that’s not a bad thing. The Too Faced formula is better suited for a more dramatic, edgy, “in-your-face” kind of look. A couple coats of this and you can get that false eyelash look, without looking overdone. If you want a more classy formula that gives you a lot of “oomph” but is less “porn-star,” then this may be the mascara for you!
