Hello, hello, hello, hello!!!! It’s almost the weekend!!! (Not that it matters for me, considering I’m always working…lol!)

That’s why I’ve just GOT to tell you about a product that I repeatedly reach for, and am always happy with- Derma E’s Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask. This is one of those products that, while a step above drugstore, it’s very reasonably priced, and saves time as well as money.
Active ingredients include organic aloe, kaolin and bentonite clays, activated charcoal, and green tea as well as several other botanical extracts. The awesome thing is that this is a dual-action product that not only detoxifies, but exfoliates, too. As the mask dries, the activated charcoal acts as a magnet to lift away oil, dirt and toxins. In addition to purging the skin of impurities, apricot seed powder acts as an exfoliant to lift away dead skin cells and micropollutants. Pretty nifty, huh?

If you’ve used the Glam Glow Tinglexfoliate or Supermud masks, they have similar ingredients, but at a much higher price tag of $69.00 for very little product. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Glam Glow, and use their masks regularly, but sometimes I don’t want to splurge quite that much! Well, this Derma E mask works similarly- apply a layer to your face and let it dry for 5-10 minutes, then wet your fingers and massage your face to exfoliate as you rinse it off. This is also a great alternative if you have sensitive skin as I find it to be less irritating than Glam Glow.
My skin is hypersensitive from using tretinoin, so I don’t take advantage of the exfoliating action with each use. Most times, I just use it for the detox, and splash it off with water. About once every week or two, when I feel like I need a little boost to get glowing, then I use the massaging technique to exfoliate. I absolutely love this versatility!
Another thing I like about the company itself is that Derma E is very ethical and socially responsible. For example, the Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask is cruelty-free, GMO-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and the packaging is recyclable. Furthermore, the product is marked with the Wind Energy seal, which is one my fave forms of alternative energy!
Overall, this is one of those products that I will continue to use regularly. With it being 2-in-1, it’s a huge time saver for when I’m really busy, or just plain exhausted. And, as I mentioned previously, the price is nice at just $19.50 for 1.7 oz.
