It’s FRIDAY!!!!! Congrats to all of you who get weekends, or any days, off! Lol! Hopefully the weather will at least be a bit nicer this weekend, right?
Have you seen our Colorescience posts? (You can read them here, here, and here.) Well, I got another package from them, and they have reformulated their legendary Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-on Shield SPF 50!
If you read our post on the Sun Protection Duo (found here), Sunforgettable is one of those products that I have since always kept in my handbag. Sun protection is my numero uno anti-aging product- without it, you’re undoing all the good you’ve done with other skincare products, and you’re leaving your skin vulnerable to cancer and premature aging.
Sunforgettable, powered by EnviroScreen Technology, is a powerful, all-mineral skin shield that provides total protection in one convenient, portable application, and can be worn alone or under makeup, and it’s water resistant up to 80 minutes (Colorescience, 2018).
A patented zinc oxide and titanium dioxide provide broad spectrum sunscreen. Vitachelox, a trio of antioxidants including green tea, grape seed, and oak wood extracts, along with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, helps protect from free radicals and pollution. Micronized iron oxide pigments help protect the skin from damage and photoaging caused by blue light (Colorescience, 2018).
Infraguard, a combination of tara tannins and organic sunflower sprouts, helps protect against the aging effects of infrared radiation. Hyaluronic acid powder is a humectant that helps restore and reinforce moisture. Finally, in addition to acting as a sunscreen, zinc oxide helps calm and soothe (Colorescience, 2018).
Sunforgettable is available in four shades that are very versatile due to the sheer coverage- Fair, Medium, Tan, and Deep. I had been using Medium in the winter when my skin was lighter, now I’m using the Tan, which is perfect for summer months.
Aside from the formulation and wear, the thing I like most is the ease of use and portability. You’re supposed to reapply sunscreen every couple hours, but that’s not so easy when wearing a full face of makeup, or when on-the-go.

I also had the opportunity to try yet another award-winning product from the brand- the Bronzing Perfector Face Primer SPF 20
The Bronzing Perfector is formulated with some fantastic extracts and oils, and has a light, natural herbal scent- it kind of reminds me of the cult-fave Dermalogica Age Smart Primer, but this isn’t as medicinal or “odd” smelling. The Colorescience also spreads easier and feels a bit lighter than the Dermalogica, and I feel like I get a better finish without any “balling up” of products. Plus, the packaging is easier to use, and much more lux!
With the Colorescience Bronzing Perfector
Overall, I’ve been so happy with the Colorescience products I’ve tried. I love how easy it is to stay protected- even the color cosmetic products have sun protection and good-for-you ingredients. Check out Colorescience.com
