Clarisonic Skincare: First Impression

I’ve had a Clarisonic Mia 2 device for ages, but have not been very familiar with their skincare products.  So, I was really excited when they sent me some products to try out!  I know Sephora carries some of their products, but I was never really aware of the vast variety available until I checked the company’s own website.  Wow- no matter what your skin type, they have products that will fit your needs!

Right away, I noticed the packaging- the boxes have an aesthetically pleasing, sleek, “clean” design that makes it easy to ascertain what’s inside them.  Another plus is that none of the items come packaged in a jar- everything is in convenient, sanitary tubes, bottles, and pumps.  As previously mentioned, they have a plethora of products for acne-prone skin, sensitive skin, normal skin, and they even have a line called “Sonic Radiance” that brightens skin and reduces hyperpigmentation.

I received Gentle Hydro Cleanser, Sonic Radiance Skin Renewing Essence Boost, and Brightening Activator Serum.  Some of the things I’m most curious about are if the cleanser really is gentle enough even for my tretinoin-treated skin, whether the brightening serum works, and most of all- is the toner really worth the $44 is retails for?  (Hint: it’s not “just a toner,” wink, wink… 😉 )

I will be testing these products out over the next few days and will come back and update with more information regarding each one!

If you want to go ahead and get these products now, you can get them directly from Clarisonic, or you can use the link below and get free shipping + free returns from Nordstrom.

Update- October 7, 2015:  After trying these products out for several days, I have come to the conclusion that Clarisonic skincare products are underrated.  They are very high quality and competitively priced, so I’m surprised I haven’t heard more about them.

I believe many people think that they need a Clarisonic device in order to use the products.  Perhaps if they renamed them, they would sell better- like Laneige and Sulwhasoo are made by AmorePacific.  Maybe even put “by Clarisonic” in small print, for example, “Skincare by Clarisonic,” or something similar.  Needless to say, if you’re looking for something new, you may want to consider Clarisonic!  Click for the full reviews:

I wish I would of found all these blogs and review websites before I wasted so much money on such a bad serum! Did you have any good results withn the clarisonic serum?

    • Oh, no! I’m so sorry you had that experience! You are so right, though, there are a lot of great blogs that provide such helpful reviews! I’ve been using the Clarisonic serum for a few days now, and I like it- will post the review within the next day or so! 🙂
