I haven’t really had much experience with Cargo cosmetics, as the Ulta stores near us no longer carry the brand. So, I was really excited when I found out our local Stage stores carries Cargo- and I bought quite a little haul from Jordan B.
According to Cargo, this highly active primer is not only paraben and silicone-free, but it has anti-aging properties. This allows for long-term benefits as well as short-term. The thing I like best about this formula is that it’s silicone-free.
Obviously, since I haven’t used this for very long, I haven’t noticed any anti-aging effects. I also felt that it didn’t create as smooth of a surface as other primers, but that’s to be expected since it doesn’t have any silicone. However, it did do a decent job of keeping my skin shine-free; and my makeup lasted a lot longer. This would be great for during the summer when I tend to be more oily. I will definitely keep using it just to see if I notice any anti-aging benefits- that would be just super! 😉
Cargo blu_ray Activating Face Primer retails for $32.00 for 0.50 oz.
I am regular reader, how are you everybody? Would you say this is better than the Smashbox primer?
Hi Hannah, thank you for reading! It’s different from the Smashbox Photo Finish primer- this one does not have silicone, but the Smashbox primer does. It just depends on your skin type- each person will have a different preference. 🙂
