As I mentioned in another posting, I just cannot get excited for fall. I know many people are, but not me. Just can’t get into that mindset! So, I decided to try a look with some fall colors, hoping this would help. No such luck, but I did have fun playing around!
I prepped with Tarteguard 30 and Murad Invisiblur primer. Then I used NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Barcelona, applied with my hands. I used Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, with an It Cosmetics for Ulta Airbrush Blurring Concealer Brush. I followed with Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder, with my Urban Decay Good Karma Finishing Brush.
For contouring and highlighting, I used Kat Von D Shade Light Palette, with a Too Faced Flatbuki brush, Smashbox mini blush brush, and a bareMinerals fan brush. My blush was NARS in Deep Throat, applied with my It Cosmetics for Ulta Velvet Lux Soft Focus Brush, and I highlighted my cheekbones with Too Faced Snow Bunny.
I primed my eyes with Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer, and decided to do something other than fall plums and purples, so I pulled out one of my favorite palettes, Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar (see banner above). Using an It Cosmetics for Ulta Velvet Lux All Over Shadow brush, Velvet Lux Crease brush, and Smashbox shadow brush, I applied Butter Pecan all over, from lash line to brow bone. I used Peanut Butter on my eyelids, Frosting on my creases, and a tiny bit of Blueberry Swirl blended into the outer corners. (If you use the box at the end of this post, you can get free shipping over $50 plus two freebies through the end of 2015- you’re welcome!)
I used It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil for my brows. For my eyeliner, I used my new favorite, Doucce Cosmetics Ultra Precision Eyeliner. Usually when I do winged eyeliner, I used a cream or gel liner with a brush. But, this liner pencil glides on so smoothly that it worked perfect. I finished with Guerlain’s Maxi Lash So Volume mascara. On my lips, I used Too Faced lip liner in Perfect Spice, and finished with Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in No. 7.
