Yep. Welcome to The South. Down here in The South, we have bipolar weather (no pun intended..lol). It’s seriously gotten ridiculous. I swear, one moment it’s like global cooling, the next moment global warming is back in style. So, one moment we’re warming up with a pot of gumbo or chili, the next moment, frozen yogurt. Then one day it’s sneezing, the next is sniffles. Not only does the constant weather change wreak havoc on sinuses, but it also makes it difficult to manage my wardrobe! First world problems, right?
Well, when I was growing up, things were different. I’m from Iowa, and we could actually “put away” our summer clothes at the end of summer, and put away our winter clothes at the end of winter. We had a warm weather wardrobe, and a cold weather wardrobe. Not so down here!

Thursday, it was really cold. Friday, it got down to freezing. When I did my Friday run, it was 29 degrees. I’m so grateful to Jerry and my mom for getting me some new cold weather running gear for Christmas. Thanks to my RBX fleece-lined pants, Reebok hoodie, and gloves, I was able to make it six miles, remaining warm and toasty the entire time!
Monday, the weather flip-flopped back into the 70s. So, today, less than a week later, I did five miles in a tank top and shorts. While I much prefer the warmer weather, I wish Mother Nature would make up her damn mind! But, I guess it’s better than staying cold- despite being an Eskimo, I absolutely LOATHE the cold…lol!
