Omg, I’ve been obsessed with highlighters and shimmery products since I was a kid. Finally, the rest of the beauty world and the new generation of makeup lovers have caught up, and highlighters are finally having a moment. With highlighters and bronzers being such a “thing” now, we decided to post and make a video about them. (See the bronzer post here.)

My favorite liquid highlighter has got to be the NARS Orgasm Illuminator. The color is gorgeous, and it wears very well, even on my oily/combination skin.
Manna Kadar 3-in-1 Eyeshadow, Blush, and Highlighter in “Fantasy” is a great product. It’s formula is a bit coarse, but once you put it on, it’s got a really nice effect, not too over-the-top, a bit more subtle. But, you can build it up if you’d like a more dramatic glow.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Illuminator is anything BUT subtle. This has larger pieces of shimmer than other highlighters, and I don’t use this on my face. But, it applies very easily, and it’s great for shoulders and the collarbone area.
NARS Miss Liberty is another great option if you like a more dramatic shimmer, but with particles a bit smaller than the Urban Decay. This is grouped in with the brand’s blushes, and it’s super-duper fab!
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold was the first one I got from the brand, while it was still limited edition. The formula, although pressed powder, is actually creamy. It applies like a dream, and looks stunning. Of course, the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Face Palette is to die for- it has not only the Champagne Pop, but also the new Prosecco Pop.
In addition to the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, Becca makes some great Beach Tint Souffles that are kind of a blush/highlighter hybrid. They are SO perfect for summer, especially now with the popularity of shiny glowy faces! Check out four of them in the video below.
