Hey everyone, hope you’re having a fab December so far! Other than not having properly working heat, and being cold all the time, our December is going quite well. Hopefully the winter months will pass by quickly, so I can get back into my flip-flops! The other problem with winter is dry, dehydrated skin.
Most of us at least try to take care of our faces, especially in drier conditions. But, do you pay attention to your neck when caring for your skin? Sadly, many people don’t, and admittedly, I’m one of those people who used to neglect this area. It was only when I found out that the neck is one of the first areas to show signs of age that I started paying close attention!
I’ve only found a handful of neck creams that I like, so I was pleased to have the opportunity to try out NeoStrata’s Triple Firming Neck Cream. Although I’ve never tried any NeoStrata-branded products before, they also make Exuviance products, which is one of my fave, most trusted brands. So, I’ve got high expectations for this stuff!
Just like Exuviance, NeoStrata makes high-quality skincare products that are formulated with scientifically-proven, effective ingredients. Their formulas are especially good for improving visible signs of aging, as well as treating dermatological conditions like hyperkeratosis, dry skin, and acne. The products include star ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids, polyhydroxy acids, and polyhydroxy bionic acids (NeoStrata, 2016).
NeoStrata Triple Firming Neck Cream purportedly helps to reverse the signs of aging in the neck and décolletage. The formula contains three proven ingredients that lift and firm. Pro-Amino Acid enhances pro-collagen in the skin, NeoCitrate promotes new collagen, and NeoGlucosamine helps enhance surrounding support. This trio of actives works in sync to plump, firm, and build volume in the skin (NeoStrata, 2016).
In addition to firming, NeoGlucosamine also acts as a gentle exfoliant to help address uneven pigmentation and age spots. Furthermore, Triple Firming Neck Cream is fortified with Apple Stem Cell Extract, which helps protect the longevity of the skin’s cells (NeoStrata, 2016).
NeoStrata Triple Firming Neck Cream is housed in a blue pump bottle. I really like that the top of the pump is large, because it makes it a lot easier to use. Not only is this convenient, but it protects the ingredients from degradation as a result of light and/or air exposure. It’s also sanitary because you don’t have to repeatedly dip your fingers into a jar.
The cream itself is thick but actually feels “silky,” if that makes sense. It spreads easily, and is readily absorbed. It has a very light, fresh natural scent that’s quite pleasant. Even if you’re sensitive, it shouldn’t be a problem, though, because it’s barely discernible.
While I cannot attest to long-term results, I can say that during the time I’ve been testing the NeoStrata Triple Firming Neck Cream, I’ve been happy with it. My skin gets dry and itchy during the colder weather, and this has been very soothing. My skin is left plumped, hydrated, and very soft. I’m also happy that it can be used right after peels and treatments. After using 70% glycolic acid on my neck area, as well as microneedling, my skin becomes even itchier than it does in the winter. I mean, unbearably, horribly itchy due to the dryness and irritation. So, it will be nice to have a product that will be moisturizing yet gentle.
