If you’ve been keeping up with this blog, you likely know that Exuviance is one of my fave skincare brands. Their formulas are scientifically researched and proven, and they work. So, as you can imagine, when I got the chance to try out the brand’s DePuffing Eye Serum, I was SO excited!
I have the worst allergies. No joke, no exaggeration, I sneeze all day long, for nine months of the year. Along with sneezing comes the itchy, watery, red, puffy eyes. I swear, I rub them constantly, even though I know that’s bad. Really bad.
Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum is purported to decongest, de-puff, and tone the eye area, resulting in a youthful rested appearance with results visible in just four weeks. The applicator contains a triple micro-roller that massages to help stimulate circulation and encourage drainage while delivering a depuffing botanical complex (NeoStrata, 2016).
Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum boasts some impressive ingredients. A blend of citrus antioxidants and peptides target microcirculation and help strengthen the skin, which reduces the pooling that can cause bags and puffiness. NeoGlucosamine helps build collagen and elastine, as well as firms and tones both the eyelid and undereye droopiness over time. Caffeine helps invigorate and stimulate the skin, green tea and cucumber refresh, while micro-fillers help smooth and soften the look of fine lines (NeoStrata, 2016).
The Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum is housed in a convenient pen-style applicator. This is not only easy to use, but also very hygienic and the product is kept safe from degradation by light and air. To use, just depress the plunger, then use the rollers to gently massage underneath and around the eye area.
While I haven’t been using this long enough to attest to the product’s ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines, I can tell you about the puffiness issue. If you’ve been keeping up with this blog, you know one of my biggest pet peeves is companies that rely solely on consumer opinion to market their products. With Exuviance, you get solid research on top of consumer opinion. So, you’re getting proven ingredients, with validation by consumers.
And guess what? This consumer’s opinion is that this stuff works! Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum was effective in diminishing my puffiness, even the first time I used it. I also discovered that if I stash it in the refrigerator, it works even better, and feels SO soothing on my tired eyes. It glides on easily, is readily absorbed, and doesn’t get sticky or feel greasy. I had no problems wearing it alone or under makeup.
The only negative is that at first it appears to be pretty pricey at $72.00 for 0.20 oz. But, I know many of our readers are no stranger to great skincare, and you likely know that since this is a serum, it’s very concentrated and a little goes a long way. With the special applicator, a small amount goes even further.
