Hope you’re having a great Thursday!
I digress, fall is here, but I refuse to put away my flip flops! However, a season change is always a good time to re-evaluate our skincare routines. With drier weather, our skin often needs more moisture, and nutrients are just as important if not more so. As such, I was pleased to have the opportunity to try out Aurora Cure’s Ultimate Vitamin C Serum with 20% Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E. (Don’t forget to check out our video at the bottom for more info, and give us a “thumbs up” and subscribe! Thank you!)
Believing in the power of nature, Aurora Cure uses potent botanicals, 100% certified organic ingredients, and 100% natural essential oils. The company also believes in social responsibility with their dedication to animal-friendly practices and protecting the environment, along with a commitment to their customers’ well-being (Aurora Cure, n.d.).
Aurora Cure’s Ultimate Vitamin C Serum with 20% Vitamin C contains the highest concentration of active ingredients for the best possible results without irritation. Not only does Vitamin C help provide powerful antioxidant protection from free radicals, but it’s scientifically proven to boost collagen production. This results in reduction of hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and signs of aging.
I really appreciate skincare products that are formulated with scientifically proven ingredients that actually work, rather than being full of “fillers and fluff” that serve no real purpose. Vitamins C, E, and hyaluronic acid are three ingredients that are suitable for any skincare routine.
This Aurora Cure serum is housed in a cobalt blue (my fave color!) bottle with a dropper. As antioxidant products need to be protected from exposure to light and air in order to prevent degradation and ingredients being rendered useless, the dark blue glass was a good call (Kaur, Kapila & Agrawal, 2007).
If I were going to nitpick, the only thing I would change would be to add a pump dispenser in place of the dropper. This would prevent light and air exposure when removing and replacing the dropper. But, the dropper allows you to easily see how much product you’re using, which can be a bit more difficult with a pump.
The serum has a thin, silky, liquid texture, so it’s quickly absorbed into the skin. I really like this because I have oily/combination skin, and I don’t have to wait as long for it to sink in. It’s also light enough that I don’t feel like I’m piling too much on when I layer on my moisturizer, my skin can actually breathe!
Even if you’re on the drier side, never fear, the hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E will provide plenty of moisture, so you won’t experience the dryness some Vitamin C formulas can cause. Plus, it’s light enough that you can easily layer an oil or cream on top, with no absorption problems.
Overall, Aurora Cure Ultimate Vitamin C Serum is a fantastic product, especially for the price. If you’re looking for a light weight Vitamin C serum that’s not too heavy and won’t leave you greasy, this might be just what you’re looking for to help your skin glow!
