When I heard about Tarte’s new SPF 30 sunblock, I was skeptical and excited at the same time. I wasn’t sure what to expect from it since it was a new type of product for Tarte, but I LOVE sunblock, so I purchased it as soon as it became available.
I would say the reason I like the bottle is because of the sanitary, easy to use pump, but I’m not going to lie- I love the bright colored, rubberized bottle! I reach for this almost daily because it makes me happy just to look at it.
It has a very light ocean lily scent that dissipates quickly. At first, it seems a bit slick, and I worried about it possibly being greasy. Although it was very moisturizing, my worries about greasiness proved to be unfounded. I did not get overly oily at all. It did leave a slight whitish cast due to the mineral content, but it wasn’t as bad as some other sunblocks I have used. I don’t mind dealing with the whiteness, though, because this formula is packed with antioxidants to help reduce aging and fight free radicals. I may very well buy it again.
Tarteguard 30 retails for $32.00 for 1.7 oz.
