It’s Sunday fun day!!! Hope you’re all having a stupendous weekend!
OMG, you guys, I have the absolute cutest bronzer in the whole wide world to share with you!!! Time to Spa sent me a box of goodies to try out, and in that box was the most adorable little terracotta pot with powder bronzer- this drool-worthy product is the California Sun Glow Bronzer. I almost didn’t want to open it, it’s THAT cute!
I believe this is exclusive to TimetoSpa.com because Steiner owns the site, and it has “Time to Spa” on the box. This is very promising since after reading so much about the site from other bloggers, I knew it was very reputable. So… that means it didn’t matter how adorable the packaging was, I was pretty sure the product inside would be of good quality.
The California Sun Glow Bronzer is a warm shade with a very slight shimmer. It’s not chunky glitter or “in your face” shimmer; it’s subtle, grown-up shimmer that you can wear without feeling like a glitter bomb exploded on your face- not that it would be a bad thing on some occasions…lol!
The loose powder bronzer is super easy to use. I simply pulled the cork out of the (SO adorable) pot, and dabbed my brush onto the cork, which gave me the perfect amount. It’s very concentrated, but easy to apply- it goes on smoothly and evenly without being splotchy. It’s also very buildable, so you can add more if you want.
With a primer and foundation, the California Sun Glow Bronzer lasted ten hours- it would have lasted longer but I try to wash my face as soon as I get home every night. The slight shimmer didn’t really look shimmery or glittery once I had it on- it’s very subtle and gave me the most amazing bronze glow!
Sunscreen is one of those things I NEVER go without, and I use brightening skincare products. I’m also outside a lot since I run and do all of our yard work, and being Native American the rest of me gets really tan very quickly. This means my face is much, much lighter than the rest of me, so bronzer is a MUST, or I feel really odd…lol!
My favorite bronzer formulas have always been the Becca Shadow and Light and NARS Laguna. The formulas apply and blend easily, but the colors don’t give me the same warm glow as the California Sun Glow– “California sun glow” is appropriately named because that’s exactly what this stuff gives you.
The Becca is a bit cooler, so it works better on me for contour, and the NARS is too light for my medium-toned skin in the summer. I just hadn’t ever found a formula I liked equally in the perfect shade, until now. The California Sun Glow Bronzer is the perfect shade to mimic a natural, summer glow on my skin- I can even use it on my shoulders, chest, and other areas with fantastic results.
I’m super excited to have gotten this bronzer. It’s nothing short of amazing, and has made it to the top of my list of bronzer faves. I’ve gotten compliments on my skin when I wear it, plus it looks super cute sitting on my counter…lol! To top it all off, since it’s so concentrated, and there’s a good bit of product in the little pot, it will last a LONG time, so it’s a very good value at just $35.
