Hey, hey, everyone! The weekend is coming to a close!
If you’ve been keeping up with our blog, you probably know that subscription boxes can be hit or miss. You also probably know that it’s really exciting to get them in the mail!
Well, I got the chance to review one that’s new to me- the Sweet Sparkle box! Like other beauty subscription boxes, Sweet Sparkle is a monthly curated box. It’s similar to Birchbox in that there is also a shopping section where you can actually pick out and order products, which is really cool. But, it differs from others in that you get all FULL SIZE products- SIX of them!
The March 2017 box consists of a mix of drugstore and mid-range brands, that are relatively obscure- which is exactly why most people like these- you get to try new brands in addition to some that are more well-known.
This months’ Sweet Sparkle box them is Peach Perfection, and I’m quite happy with everything that was included!
–Terre Mere Eyeshadow Brush– This cruelty-free, high-quality vegan brush retails for $24.00. I’d never heard of the brand, so I’m glad I got this, it’s a very nice brush!
–Chella Eyebrow Cream– This is so awesome, it’s similar to Benefit Ka-Brow, but this actually goes on more smoothly, so I think I like it a bit more. Retail is $22.00.
–Crown Pro Eyeshadows in Lavish and Iced– The Lavish shade is simply gorgeous, a stunning bronze! Iced is also very nice, easy to apply, but it does have a bit of fallout, but the end result is fabulous. I’ve heard of this brand, but was unfamiliar with the Pro line, so it’s awesome to try it out! Retail is $11.99 each.
–J. Cat Beauty Lipfinity Matte Lip in Ca$h Money– This drugstore liquid lipstick is a really nice, versatile shade that will look great on almost anyone. Retail is $4.99.
–J. Cat Beauty Invisible Matte Lip Makeup Remover– Oh, yes! I’m so happy to have this, I have a lot of liquid lipsticks, but have been using micellar water or eye makeup remover, and this is so much more convenient! Retail is $4.99.
The only issue I had is that the Chella Eyebrow Cream box said the shade is Taupe, but the product itself said Auburn, so I’m not sure which it is. The shade works for me, so it’s not a huge deal, but the confusion would make re-ordering a bit difficult. This would be easy enough to find out, so it’s definitely not a deal-breaker.
Another aspect, besides SIX FULL-SIZE products that I like about the Sweet Sparkle box is that you get a price-break if you get more than one. A single month, with no commitment, cancel anytime, is just $24.50 per month. But, you can get three months for $23.50/month, six months for $22.50/month, or a year for only $21.00 per month, so it’s great to have these options.
If you’re tired of the same-old sample size products that are so prolific in other subscription services, you should definitely consider Sweet Sparkle! Check it out at sweetsparkle.com.
