Hey everyone, happy Friday!

In addition to weightlifting, yoga, and other types of workouts, I like to run.  Well, I don’t really like the process of running…lol!  But, I do enjoy the benefits, especially when I finish a long run.  And… Fridays are one of my long-run days.  I usually do 8-10 miles on Fridays, which means I inevitably have some type of soreness.

Having been a deputy coroner and chief death investigator, I’ve seen far too many cases of deaths related drugs.  Not just overdoses, but cases of organ damage resulting even from OTC medicines taken as directed!  Needless to say, I don’t take meds unless I absolutely have to.  Thankfully, natural supplements such as Research Verified Turmeric Curcumin with Bioperine exist- read on to find out why this specific brand is superb!

Authority Reports lists Research Verified Turmeric Curcumin with Bioperine as #1!

One of my favorite supplements is turmeric curcumin, as it’s beneficial not only for the pain I have in my back and knees, but also has been shown to address metabolic syndrome.  Having arthritis in my lower back, chondromalacia patella, DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) from working out, and having had a cholesterol scare, I like that I can address multiple issues with just one supplement.

With so many supplements flooding the market, it can be difficult to ascertain which ones work, and which ones don’t.  I rely on peer-reviewed, scientific research to determine which supplements I want to try.  Turmeric curcumin, especially with piperine, has a good bit of scientific backing.

In a randomized, placebo-controlled study, moderately active volunteers were randomly given either 100 mg curcumin twice daily, or a placebo, 48 hours before and 24 hours after a downhill run.  Not only did subjects in the curcumin group report significantly less thigh pain, but there were also significantly fewer runners in the curcumin group that exhibited MRI evidence of muscle injury (Hewlings & Kalman, 2017).

Multiple studies have shown the benefit of turmeric curcumin for relieving arthritis pain, with a significant difference in pain reduction with the supplement versus placebo.  Further, researchers found no significant difference in pain relief with turmeric curcumin versus certain types of pain medicine (Daily, Yang & Park, 2016).  This is great news for those of us who are paranoid about taking meds!

The National Institutes of Health also reports that not only does turmeric curcumin reduce knee pain as well as ibuprofen, but it has also reduced the number of post-operative heart attacks in bypass patients, and reduced the skin irritation that often results from breast cancer radiation treatments.  Plus, it’s generally considered safe in the amounts tested when taken orally or applied to the skin (NCCIH, 2016).

Obviously, this supplement is legit!  Another consideration is how to ensure a supplement will actually be absorbed by our bodies.  When combined with piperine, an active component in black pepper, the bioavailability of curcumin is increased by 2000% (Hewlings & Kalman, 2017).  So, it’s important to make sure this ingredient is included- the most well-known is the brand name “Bioperine.”

Safety is also an important consideration.  You want to make sure your supplements are made by a reputable manufacturer, with the strictest safety standards being observed.  So, if you’re looking to try a turmeric curcumin supplement, keep in mind there are myriad benefits of the Research Verified product.

With too little of the active ingredient, you won’t get results.  With too much, you can experience unwanted side effects, such as digestive irritation (NCCIH, 2016).  Research Verified Turmeric Curcumin with Bioperine contains that exact amounts needed for maximum benefit- no more, no less.  There are also NO binders or added fillers- so you know you’re getting only what you need.

Finally, Research Verified products are made in the USA in a lab registered with the FDA.  Their manufacturing facility is cGMP certified, and complies with the US Pharmocopeia’s quality standards.  So, you can be assured you’re getting exactly what’s on the bottle, and that it’s manufactured safely, and will be effective.
