In addition to weightlifting, yoga, and other types of workouts, I like to run. Well, I don’t really like the process of running…lol! But, I do enjoy the benefits, especially when I finish a long run. And… Fridays are one of my long-run days. I usually do 8-10 miles on Fridays, which means I inevitably have some type of soreness.
Having been a deputy coroner and chief death investigator, I’ve seen far too many cases of deaths related drugs. This is great news for those of us who are paranoid about taking meds!
The National Institutes of Health also reports that not only does turmeric curcumin reduce knee pain as well as ibuprofen, but it has also reduced the number of post-operative heart attacks in bypass patients, and reduced the skin irritation that often results from breast cancer radiation treatments. Plus, it’s generally considered safe in the amounts tested when taken orally or applied to the skin (NCCIH, 2016).
