I never had problems with sensitive skin, until I started using tretinoin. I had acne as a teen, and was on oral meds, and topical antibiotics. I loathe taking meds unless I absolutely have to, so as an adult, I started using tretinoin. It’s worked wonders at keeping acne at bay, I only get a zit popping up every now and then. The only problem is that it’s made my skin hypersensitive, especially during the first few months.

It was easy to spread, and absorbed readily, without any greasiness.
I’m outdoors every day doing yard work and running, so the hot Louisiana sun is especially exacerbating to my skin. Evercalm has done a great job of keeping my face from feeling irritated. It’s also even more soothing when stashed in the refrigerator!
The REN Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask was also a very welcome product. This soothing mask helps reduce irritation, redness, itchiness, and inflammation. It’s great for sensitive skin, including redness, uneven tone, and rosacea.
The quick ten minute mask is perfect for skin that’s blotchy, red, irritated, wind-chapped, sunburned, dry, stressed, or even jet-lagged. The star ingredient is an original white mushroom extract which helps distress the skin for a calming, comforting sensation. Skin is left velvety soft, smooth, and luminous. It’s great for use right before applying makeup, and can be used any time your skin needs some TLC.
The mask is packaged in a pump bottle, with a little cap that can be placed directly back over the opening to help keep the product fresh. The consistency was thin enough to spread easily, so it went on smoother than a mud mask, but thick enough that it stayed put.
The surprising thing is that I experienced a soothing sensation immediately. There have been so many supposed “soothing” products I’ve tried that sting or burn at first- this one did NOT. I had just done a dermapen treatment, which leaves skin very irritated, and the next day, I went for a run in 102 degree heat. Not only was the sun beating down on me, but my sweat as very irritating and cause a stinging sensation. As soon as I got home, I washed my face and used this mask- immediate calm!
