While shopping, I asked one of my favorite beauty advisors, Amanda, about getting a sample of Dr. Brandt’s Needles No More. She immediately got a smile on her face and said I really needed to try the new “snail stuff” they got in. Snail stuff…?!?! Of course, I was intrigued by this! She pulled up before and after photos from reviews, and told me about the synthetic snail venom in the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Fast Acting Serum.
When I took a look at the product, I was immediately skeptical of the “synthetic snail venom conopeptide” and “genuine diamond dust.” I was laughing at the gimmicky sound of these ingredients, but took home a sample of the stuff, along with the Needles No More sample. I have done my fair share of research on peptides, and they definitely have their place in skincare. But, synthetic snail venom conopeptide…?
The following week, I sheepishly walked back into the store, and told Amanda I was ready to purchase the Peter Thomas Roth serum. I have no idea whether it was the synthetic snail juice, regular run-of-the-mill peptides, or the diamond dust, but this stuff made a difference. My expression lines were far from gone, but they were definitely reduced.
At such a hefty price tag, I’m not sure if I will repurchase. This product goes a long way since it’s only applied directly to wrinkles. However, I have started using tretinoin, so I may not need this type of product much longer- only time will tell!
Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Fast-Acting Serum retails for $120.00 for 1 oz.
