PTR’s Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask contains Irish Moor Mud, of course, hijiki seaweed, volcanic ash, and activated charcoal. It promises to purify, refine, decongest, and hydrate the skin as well as reduce the look of pores and fine lines.
I adore mud masks, and while I will not be giving up my beloved GlamGlow Supermud, this has become a staple in my routine. The thing I like best about this is that it does not get hard or dry; therefore, it does not pull on my skin and make it feel tight. Additionally, my skin felt clean and smooth after using, and I love the mineral content of the mud. I like using this at the beginning of each week, to help detoxify my skin from all the running around we do over the weekend. I also like to use this when I feel dirty, excessively sweaty or greasy, or just plain “blah.”
This is a great value because the jar contains five ounces of product. I just wish it came in something other than a jar, due to sanitary reasons and degradation of the ingredients. However, since it’s such a great value, I will probably repurchase. I should also mention that until you become familiar with how your skin reacts to purifying masks, do not use it right before a big event! It will draw impurities to the surface, and you could possibly break out the first few times you use it.
