I’ve seen PCA Skin products available at Dermstore, and they seem pretty popular. But, I’ve never tried any products from the brand, so I was really excited when they sent me their Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel to try out!

With the popularity of facial peels, it’s also interesting to note that PCA Skin is the innovator of the modified and enhanced Jessner’s Peel. (On a side note, the company has expanded chemical peel treatment options for all skin types, ethnicities, and conditions.)
The PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel is a cutting-edge formula that purportedly helps strengthen, firm, and lift the skin around the entire eye area, including the eyelid. The gel contains Myristoyl peptides, which mimic retinoic acid, as well as provide an effective alternative to human growth factor.
Orange stem cell extract helps increase collagen and elastin production, and redensifies the dermal structure to reduce wrinkles and fine lines as well as improve firmness and elasticity. Albizia julibrissin bark extract and darutoside reduces upper lid sagging, crows’ feet, dark circles, and puffiness.
Finally, palmitoyl tripeptide-38 helps stimulate collagen, fibronectin, hyaluronic acid, and laminin-5 to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. So, as you can see, this formula contains some proven anti-aging heavy hitters!
PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel is housed in a sanitary, easy to use squeeze tube. The opaque container shields the product from light and air, which helps prevent degradation of the ingredients. It’s also easy to dispense the perfect amount, whether you need just a tiny dab or a bit more.
The gel has a very nice, silky consistency. It’s SO easy to spread- I swear it really is like liquid silk! Jerry and I have both been testing this out, and neither one of has experienced any negative issues, even with my hypersensitive skin.
Although neither one of has experienced drastic results in the short period of time allotted, we both have noticed increase hydration in the skin around our eye area. Jerry has a few more fine lines than me with drier skin (he neglects to use sunscreen!), and he has more noticeable results than me- his skin appears more plumped, and thus his lines seem to be reduced. So, it’s obviously working!
The only negative about the PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel is that it’s a bit pricey at $84 for half an ounce. BUT, since it’s so concentrated, and a tiny bit goes a LONG way, it will last a LONG time. So, if you’re in need of a fantastic product for the eye area, this one is well worth it!
