There are SO many great skincare brands I’ve gotten to try since I started blogging. Some of them, such as Bionova and Somme Institute, I had heard of before, but never had a chance to try. Others, though, I had used before this venture. Omorovicza is one of those brands that I have loved for a long time. Be sure to check out the video at the bottom for more information about this lovely brand!
I started using Omorovicza due to the rave reviews of the brand’s cult favorite Queen of Hungary Mist, a facial mist formulated with mineral water from Hungarian thermal spas. This thermal water is the key ingredient in Omorovicza products, and is able to penetrate into the skin because of the brand’s patented Hydro Mineral Transference system.
I knew I wanted to start using tretinoin (Retin-A) after dealing with acne and having had to take tetracycline and use topical erythromycin. Also, as I approached 30, it was time to take anti-aging seriously! As tretinoin causes hypersensitivity, I knew I would need skincare products that were not only gentle, but effective.
I started using the Omorovicza Gold Night Drops, which contains retinol, the strongest retinoid available over the counter. Using retinol would help my skin adjust, so that I could use Retin-A more easily, with less irritation. This is truly a wonderful product, and perfect for all skin types. (FYI- make sure you use a sunblock with at least an SPF of 30!)
The Gold Rescue Cream is one of my favorite products for right after a glycolic peel or dermapen treatment, very moisturizing, calming and soothing (read this post).
Rejuvenating Night Cream is a great night time moisturizer, especially if you have dry skin. It’s a bit too heavy for me during the summer, considering I have oily skin and live in Satan’s armpit (Louisiana), but perfect for the drier winter months. If my skin is having issues or needs a little extra TLC, I use it no matter what season.
The Instant Plumping Mask is another heavier, night time product, but I use this no matter what the season. I just don’t use it as often in the summer, only right before an event so my skin looks extra plump and glowing. During the drier months, I alternate this with the Rejuvenating Night Cream. Omorovicza’s Balancing Lotion is one of my fave moisturizers for summer. It’s perfect for my oily skin, and keeps my face hydrated without getting greasy.
The Cleansing Foam is another product that’s great for my oily skin (and any skin type). It cleans very well, without stripping the moisture from my face. It works great by itself, and with my FOREO Luna Mini 2 and Clarisonic Mia 2. (Read my review here.)
Queen of Hungary Mist has quickly become a cult favorite. This is one of the best facial mists I’ve EVER tried. It hydrates, sets makeup, tones, and even adds a healthy glow as a result of the mineral content. This is a MUST for EVERYONE! (Read my review here).
Lifting Myrrh Oil is not only a great moisturizer, but it helps firm and lift the skin. I love using this right after a shower while my skin is still damp. It keeps my skin hydrated and soft for hours. Plus, it smells divine!
Gold Shimmer Oil is just as fabulous as the Myrrh Oil, but it has flecks of gold. This really enhances a tan, or even paler skin, for a night out. It’s also great to highlight your shoulders, collar bone, etc. I’ve even used it in my hair!
Omorovicza’s two-step Copper Peel is fabulous for getting rid of dull, dead skin. During the first few months of using tretinoin, my skin got flaky, as does almost everyone’s. I needed to be able to get rid of the flakes, without causing further irritation. This peel exfoliates, yet is very gentle. You can leave it on longer if need be, but I find that the suggested two minute massage is just perfect for my hypersensitive skin. (Read my review here.)
