So, I signed up for this thing a while back called Influenster. It was pretty confusing, because I didn’t really have any idea what it was, or what to do on it. Other bloggers just said I should sign up, so I did. I’m glad I took their advice! (Psssst… don’t forget to check out the unboxing video at the bottom!)
Influenster is this cool website, completely free, and you take tiny little surveys, leave short reviews of products, you can even make lists of your faves, and then you can qualify for “VoxBoxes.” A VoxBox contains products that you get for free (shipping is free, too), and then tell your friends and followers about them. The best part? You do NOT have to have a blog or YouTube channel!
I got an awesome VoxBox containing Ole Henriksen products, so I was super excited! My VoxBox contained Truth Serum Collagen Booster, Sheer Transformation Crème, and the 3-step Power Bright peel, along with some cleansing pads.
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum is a product I already love, so it was nice to have an extra. Especially considering it was my go-to serum to begin with, then Ole Henriksen sent me a giant sized bottle, and I’ve been through two more regular sized bottles since. Obviously, this was a winner! (You can read my review here.)
I also received the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Crème, which is a great moisturizer for all skin types. Even my mom loves this stuff, and her skin is completely different than mine.
They also gave me a 3-step Power Bright peel, which consists of Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask, Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate, and the Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. I had tried the Sugar Glow Mask and the Melting Cleanser previously (read my review here), but I had never used these products together.
The first step, the Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask, is great on its own for getting glowing skin. You apply it, let it set for a bit, then massage it around to exfoliate, and rinse off.
You’ll have to excuse the zit near my hairline…lol! The Truth Sugar Glow has a great scent, and doesn’t feel at all greasy. Even though my skin is hypersensitive from Retin-A, I experienced no issues.
The second step of the Power Bright was the Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate. I really wish they sold this stuff separately- I like the idea of a concentrated Vitamin C product!
The Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate is applied to dry skin after using the Sugar Polish. Leave it on for a few minutes, and it will begin to set, or dry down. Do NOT rinse it off!
The final step is the Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. This is applied directly on top of the Vitamin C Concentrate, then you’re supposed to massage your face to blend the two products together. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then use a damp wash cloth or the included complexion sponges to remove.
The instructions said to expect a slight tingling with the two products, but I didn’t notice anything at all. What I did notice, though, was that after I removed the stuff, my skin looked bright and had a gorgeous glow!
Overall, my experience with Influenster and this VoxBox have been amazing- you can’t beat getting a box of free skincare goodies delivered to your doorstep!
