A NARS cheek palette without Orgasm…??? GASP…! Yes, I was truly shocked when Brendan, at the Bossier City Sephora Inside JCP, told me that Orgasm was not in this palette. However, almost everyone who is really into NARS already has the cult favorite shade, so this made complete sense.
This palette contains a highlighting blush, three regular blushes, and a bronzer. The highlighting blush, Miss Liberty, has proven to be much more useful than I originally thought. It does contain a lot of shimmer, but sparkles make me happy- although, my sister, Gina, is even more happy than me when she sees sparkles! Needless to say, this highlighter is probably not appropriate for everyday use if you work in a conservative office. But for a night out, special occasion, etc., it’s superb!
The bronzer in this palette is the best-selling Laguna. This is a medium-deep shade with the teensiest, tiniest bit of shimmer. Not enough to be gaudy, but just enough to give a bit of a glow. This is not dark enough to be a bronzer for me during the summer, but during December and January, it usually works well. However, if your skin is light to medium, this will probably work well year-round. I have also found that this blends much easier than Too Faced’s Chocolate Soleil bronzer.
The regular blushes included are Deep Throat, Sex Fantasy, and Final Cut. Deep Throat is similar to Orgasm in that it is very versatile, and will look great on anyone. Final Cut is more peachy, but again, very versatile and suitable for almost anyone. Sex Fantasy is a light, candy pink color that sadly, does not show up on my Eskimo skin during the summer months when I am darker. In the winter, I adore it when I want a soft, sweet, and innocent look (me, innocent…? *evil laugh*). With names like these, who could resist? I have even seen people giggle when they go into a store and inquire about these shades, but they just can’t resist! On that note, this would make a GREAT gift for that one friend who always has to make everything sexual…we all seem to have one those friends, don’t we? P.S.
