My Pure Eau de Parfum: A Fragrance Outlet Exclusive

pr sample small 2

After having a great experience previously with the Fragrance Outlet, I was pleased to have the opportunity to shop with them again. This time, I paid a visit to order My Pure Eau de Parfum, a Fragrance Outlet exclusive by Karen Low.

As was my previous experience, the shopping process was a breeze. The website was easy to navigate, and easy to search. In addition to exclusives, the Fragrance Outlet also carries a massive variety of high-quality designer fragrances. Even though the prices are already competitive, they often have sales and substantial discounts, so pay attention to your emails and the info on the site.

Immediately after I placed my order, I received an email with confirmation. I also received an email less than 24 hours later to notify me that my order had shipped, and to provide me with a tracking number. I really like the high level of communication, especially since I’m one of those people who’s impatient when I order something…lol!

My shipment arrived within three days, and was packaged in a sturdy box, with plenty of packing material, a $5 coupon, and four sample fragrances. As Fragrance Outlet offers gift wrapping, my order was in a white box with an elegant bow, and a Fragrance Outlet seal. Inside the gift box there was tissue paper and my fragrance.

Now, for the fragrance itself!

Not going to lie, at first I thought the name “My Pure” was pretty cheesy. After doing a bit of research, though, I found that Parisian perfumer Karen Low has a whole line of “Pure” fragrances, so the name made sense.

I was first attracted to this fragrance because of the notes, which included plum, iris, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, amber and vetiver. My Pure is described as “sensuous and luxurious,” “subtle woody aroma,” with a “definite seductive appeal” (Fragrance Outlet, 2016). It’s housed in a teal-ish colored, thick glass square bottle, which looks great on my vanity.

As soon as I sprayed My Pure, I was in love, and I immediately smelled something familiar. My Pure is a perfect dupe for Marc Jacobs Decadence! However, this is no dollar store knock-off or imitation; this is a genuine high-quality fragrance from a French perfumer. I will say that the sillage is a bit better on My Pure, and it lasts longer on my skin than Decadence, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments when I wear this.

The best part? Decadence retails for $122.00 for 3.4 oz., while My Pure is $85.00 for the same size. Even better still, Fragrance Outlet is always having sales and special offers, and right now on the site, My Pure is 40% off. BUT, they were very generous and are giving our readers a whopping 55% off- yes, that’s right, you can get it for LESS THAN HALF PRICE!
