Hump day is here again! Hope you’re all having a fantabulous week so far!
So, I’m almost out of my current moisturizing mask, and I’ve been discovering some fabulous natural and organic skincare products lately. When I got the opportunity to try a few more items from Michael Todd Beauty, I was pretty darn excited!

The best part of this mask is that there are no cheap fillers, and none of the bad stuff like parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial dyes or fragrance, mineral oils, etc. Instead, extra virgin cold pressed avocado oil is rich in emollients, omegas, and vitamins for hydration and nourishing the skin. Sunflower seed oil hydrates and soothes to return a feeling of suppleness (Michael Todd, 2016).
Blue green algae and seaweed is rich in amino acids, along with essential fatty acids, to help calm and enhance the complexion. Shea and mango butters, rich in vitamins A and E, provide ultra-rich moisture to help soften and improve the look of dry skin. Finally, a base of organic aloe vera leaf juice helps moisturize and soothe (Michael Todd, 2016).
Even before I tried this stuff, the list of high-quality ingredients made my heart pound a bit faster, I couldn’t wait to get this magnificent stuff onto my face! The mask is housed in an airtight pump bottle, which I absolutely love. The product is kept safe from degradation by light and air, and it’s also sanitary. The pump is large enough to operate one-handed, which is helpful when I’m in the middle of my skincare routine.
The formula dispenses easily, and I can get more or less, depending on how much I need. The mask is a creamy texture, and an orangey-yellow color. It’s very easy to spread, and the texture is rich, yet light at the same time, if that makes sense…lol! In other words, it’s thick, but easily spreadable. And OMG, the smell is SO amazing- I wish I could spread this over my entire body!
The instructions said to leave on for 10-15 minutes, but since there’s nothing harmful or irritating, I left it on for about 30 minutes since it felt so friggin’ awesome. It rinsed off pretty easily, and afterward, my face was so soft, plump and dewy! Just a little FYI, I have oily/combo skin, and had no problems with this. Even though it’s very rich, it’s not a leave-on product, and you can rinse off sooner if you want.
I’m super-duper happy with the Michael Todd Avocado Mango Mask. I wish I could use this repeatedly throughout the day, every day. But that just wouldn’t be practical, would it…? Lol! 😉
