Although I use Retin-A, I still get the occasional zit. As such, I still need a product to spot treat these nasty little things. After suffering from acne as a pre-teen, and getting breakouts every month as an adult, some of the best products I have found are from Mario Badescu. I first got this as a sample when shopping at Ulta, and ended up buying the full size. Mario Badescu has several acne products, including a drying lotion and this drying cream, both for spot treating. My acne isn’t as bad as it used to be, so I no longer use the drying lotion. But, I do keep a jar of this on hand.
This cream contains aloe to soothe, and has the added benefit of a slight tint, so it can conceal as it dries out your zit. It’s too light for my skin tone, but I still love this stuff. It has an almost earthy scent, which I have grown quite accustomed to. The scent may bother some, but it is not fake or “perfumey” at all, just very natural. Whenever I need to use this, I actually enjoy holding it up to my nose and smelling it. Sad, huh? To top it all off, this is very reasonably priced, so I will probably always keep a jar on hand.
Mario Badescu Drying Cream retails for $14.00 for 0.50 oz.
