I have a confession.  I hoard sunglasses.  But, Jerry hoards watches, so it’s okay for me to hoard something, too…lol!  My fave sunglasses have been a pair of red Versaces, but they don’t go with everything since they’re red.  So, I’ve been looking for another pair that is more versatile.

Anywho, a few weeks ago, Jerry got a new pair of Persol sunglasses.  They’re handmade in in Italy, and the frames are made out of cotton.  Yes, cotton- you can read more here.  The polarized lenses are crystal, not plastic, and they are SO comfortable.  I swear, there were several times I thought about nabbing them from him for myself.

Well, we went shopping on Valentine’s Day, and lo and behold, there was one pair of Persol sunglasses left that was identical to Jerry’s, and they were on sale.  So, since they were on sale, that totally justifies getting them, right…???  We always said we would never dress “matchy-matchy,” but we now have matching sunglasses…lol!

If you’re in the market for a great pair of shades, try the handmade Persols, I swear you won’t regret it!  They also have some that are lower priced, but they aren’t handmade.  You can read more about the company at www.persol.com/usa, and you can also purchase them at Sunglass Hut or Amazon.

    • Hi Blakely! Luxottica, the parent company of Ray Ban, bought Persol. But, the hand made line is still made by hand at the original location in Italy 🙂
