According to Laura Mercier, the Flawless Skin Face Polish is a creamy scrub that cleanses and exfoliates the skin, and is suitable for all skin types.
I really liked the consistency; it was quite creamy, but not so thick that it was difficult to spread. The grittiness, referred to as “purifying microbeads,” weren’t too coarse, nor too fine, and did a decent job of exfoliating. I probably will not use this again anytime soon, as I have started using tretinoin. This has caused my skin to become more sensitive, and it gets irritated much more easily now, and I found the microbeads to be a bit rough. However, I feel the need to mention that prior to using tretinoin, this would have been the perfect texture, and would not have caused me any irritation whatsoever.
The downside for me with this product was the scent. It smelled like bananas, and I absolutely loathe bananas. It smelled pretty strong, too, but I’m not sure if that’s just because I don’t like bananas. Maybe if I liked them, this would have smelled quite mild. Nevertheless, it did smell like real bananas, not like some fake version.
If you have dry skin that is not overly sensitive, this product may just be for you- especially if you like bananas! 😉
