When I first spotted the Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Countess, a matte hot orange red, I knew I just HAD to try it. The color was just so gorgeous!
By now, those who have kept up with my posts containing Kat Von D lipsticks know that my biggest issue is how much they drag when applied- and how much they dry out my lips. Yet, I still keep coming back for more! Am I a glutton for punishment? Nope. Unfortunately, that’s about par for the course with most matte lip products.
With the Kat Von D matte colors, though, the pigmentation, staying power, and gorgeous colors outweigh the negatives. When I was at the Shreveport Sephora Inside JCP, Amanda gave me a disposable doe-foot applicator to use with this lipstick. It made a huge difference in the application- thank you, Amanda! I also put a good coat of Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask on, as always, prior to using this.
This lipstick stayed true-to-color, and lasted all the way until I ate. If you’re looking for a gorgeous orangey-red color that is great for any season, this may be the lipstick for you!
